School is going by quickly. It's already the 4th week! My Political Science teacher has been a real flake. We've had ~4 hours of class in 3 weeks due to her no-showing or showing extremely late. My Library class is an easy A and my health class looks to be a piece of cake as well. I'm going to have to start doing applications again. Last time I did them I was in high school and writing essays a day before the due date. I plan to put a little more effort this time. Speaking of school, once I transfer, I'm getting a car! How/who's going to pay for what has yet to be seen. My parents have been flaky when it comes to this. They always point to the other saying they're paying.
The sports season is truly upon us. Hockey preseason opened and the Sharks will be playing their first preseason game this coming week. Let's go Sharks! My Cowboys are 1-0 and UCLA is 2-1. Oh well, all that matters is that they beat USC.
Speaking of sports, we had our first ever hockey fantasy draft. It was interesting and really fun. I'll give a quick break down of each of our teams. Starting with:

Well first off, Jon had the #1 pick and went with Thornton. I love Thornton, he's a Shark, but he also put up 100+ points per season. However, he passed up Crosby, the number one player in the league. It's still a good pick, just there was a better one. Second, Jon did his drafting in position order. So as you can see, the further you go down the list, the weaker the player. He also has 3 Atlanta players and I know they had a good season last year, but I just don't see that team doing as well this year. Jon also made an interesting choice in Neidermayer, Jon probably wasn't aware of this, but he's considering retirement and hasn't shown up to training camp and if he does play, won't join the team till part way through the season. Neidermayer is probably one of the greatest defense men of all time and still has amazing numbers, but if he retires Jon has a big hole.

Collin had an interesting strategy. He went for the top two goalies first. Which both are amazing goalies (Brodeur holds all NHL records for a goalie and Luongo has been dubbed the "next Brodeur") the problem I see with both is the team around them. In Vancouver they made no moves during the offseason while every other team in the division made upgrades. Vancouver had a hard time scoring last year and won a lot of games 1-0, 2-1. Can they continue playing like and leaning on Luongo? As for NJ, they lost two of their best players and their division opponents have gotten considerably stronger. Everyone has picked NJ to fall for years, yet they still stand. Will be the year they finally fall from the top? As for the rest of Collins picks, he has good/great players up and down. He has a few young guys in their second/third season but they are on good teams and have a ton of talent.

Yes, she did have a thing for me and I had my opportunity that night after the movie. But I failed to seize it and she realized the age difference was just too much. Now she's involved with Brian, but he's leaving for the navy in a couple of weeks. Who knows how that will turn out. In any case, I hate this, hate this, hate this.
Why do I always know what the fuck is happening and am unable to shit about it. WHY
WHY WHY WHY. I KNEW that day would have major importance and tried to come up with something and I still failed. It's funny, after just talking with Brandi a couple of days ago, she mentioned how it was overcast with no sun at Lori's wedding. In my dream I'm standing out side and it's over cast. As I turn away it rains. Everyone got food poisoning as it turns out. I just knew something would happen.
I've spoken to Patrick about this before and how I have these dreams that link into reality. A logical approach would be that these are broad topics/symbols/fears that can be applied to anything. I agree to a degree, but then not. This whole Elizabeth fiasco is just another example in which I knew exactly everything in the relationship and yet could not change a single thing. I hate how my own fucking fear traps me from making a move. Doing something to challenge the fate laid before me. I hate how the words are trapped in my mind. I hate how I know what to say and how to act to break this cycle and yet don't.
As for Brian. Beat me once, shame on you. Beat me twice, shame on me. He is now 2/2 on getting their first. Fuck you. Just fuck you. It's amazing just how this fuck does this.
